Short-term health insurance plans — are they worth it or just junk insurance?
21
I'm between jobs for 3 months and need temporary health coverage. Short-term plans are quoting me $150/month versus $600/month for a COBRA plan. But I've heard these plans can deny coverage for pre-existing conditions and have low coverage caps. What do these plans actually cover? Are they adequate for a healthy 34-year-old or am I taking a big risk?
