Short-term disability insurance — is it worth buying if I have a solid emergency fund?
21
My employer offers short-term disability insurance for $38/month. It covers 60% of my salary for up to 6 months if I'm unable to work. I have a 6-month emergency fund already. Is this insurance redundant with my emergency fund, or are there benefits I'm not considering? What about complications during pregnancy — would STD cover maternity leave?
