Medicare vs FEHB — should federal retirees keep FEHB or switch to Medicare Advantage?
18
I'm a retiring federal employee with FEHB (Federal Employee Health Benefits) coverage. I know I need to sign up for Medicare Part A and B at 65. Should I keep FEHB as my secondary coverage or switch to a Medicare Advantage plan? I've heard FEHB + Original Medicare is essentially like having Medigap coverage. Is that true? What are the pros and cons of keeping FEHB vs switching?
