COBRA vs ACA marketplace — which is better when leaving a job?
28
I'm leaving my job next month and need health insurance for my family of 4. COBRA would cost $1,850/month to keep my current plan. An ACA marketplace silver plan is about $1,200/month (no subsidy — our household income is too high). Is COBRA worth the extra $650/month? My current plan has a great network and I've already met my deductible for the year. If I switch to ACA, do I start over with a new deductible?
