Do I really need a business bank account for a side hustle LLC?
16
I formed an LLC for my weekend photography business that makes about $15k/year. I've been running income and expenses through my personal checking account. My CPA says I need a separate business bank account to maintain the LLC's liability protection. Is this true? If the LLC and personal finances are commingled, can a plaintiff really 'pierce the corporate veil'? Is it enough to just track expenses carefully with accounting software?
