Medical bill says I owe $2,000 but insurance says I owe $600 - who's right?

Hospital billed me $2,000. Insurance EOB shows negotiated rate of $800, I owe 20% coinsurance ($160) plus $440 toward deductible = $600 total. Hospital won't accept EOB. What do I do?
